Friday, April 1

  • Animal’s April Fool’s Day (For Wee Ones)

    • Find out how animals fool each other all the time. Learn about some of the best tricksters in nature as we read a book, play some games, and make a craft. All activities will geared towards 3 to 5 year-olds and parents to do with their children. Program will last approximately 45 minutes.

  • Artists League Exhibit Opening

    • “Reflections on a Beautiful World” featuring the works of local artist Jude Winkley

    • Exhibit will be running through April 28. Monday through Saturday 12 to 3 pm
  • The Hillbenders Present: Tommy

    • A bluegrass opry version of The Who’s 1992 stage adaptation of their iconic 1969 rock-opera album

  • Science & Reading

    • April is NC Science Festival Month and Drop Everything and Read. Try easy science experiments and learn about great science books! Sign your child up for their first Library Card. Library cards are free for everyone.

  • Growing Vegetables in Containers

    • Jan Leitschuh, Master Gardener and organizer of “Farm to Table” will speak on growing vegetables in containers. Participants take home with a 5 gallon and a 1 gallon container of vegetable plantings.
