  • Culinary Tours of the Pines

    • Culinary Tours of the Pines provides walking culinary tasting tours in the Village of Pinehurst.
    • Included in the tour will be stops at The Deuce, the new signature restaurant that overlooks Pinehurst Course No. 2; The Holly Tavern; The 1895 Room; and The Carolina Hotel.
    • At each location guests will be served a specialty small plate accompanied by a craft beer sampling.
    • In addition, your culinary experience will be enhanced with a stop at The Village Wine Shop, a boutique wine shop located in The Village.
    • The afternoon will end with a sampling of locally baked scones from PineScones, a well-known local gourmet bakery.

      • He’ll travel from his Spruce Pine studio to share the details behind his designs, which were featured as the Overall Winner in Garden & Gun’s 2016 Made in the South Awards.
      • Following the demonstration, enjoy a spirits tasting from Doc Porter’s, this Charlotte-based distillery crafts handmade vodka, gin, and bourbon from scratch using locally-sourced grains.
    • Chef’s Dinner with Ashley Christensen
      • Join Chef Christensen for a meal that champions the new and evolving Southern food scene.

  • Tar Heel Shorties Film Festival

    • This free event will showcase a slate of the coolest NC short films and a feature documentary with roots in the Sandhills region.
    • Tar Heel Shorties will kick off at the Sunrise Theater at 5pm with seven unique short films shown in an hour long block.
    • The short films range from animated narratives to archival experimentals!
    • Following the block will be a party with attending filmmakers, so stick around for light refreshments and artistic conversations!
    • The evening feature is The Founders, directed by Charlene Fisk and Carrie Schrader, playing at 7:30pm.
    • This documentary tells the story of the 13 women who founded the LPGA Tour.
    • An exclusive Q&A with co-director Charlene Fisk will follow the screening.
    • This event is free and open to the public.
