    • Come find out what it’s like to be a spider as you discover the pages of the children’s book Diary of a Spider along the Bower’s Bog Trail at Weymouth Woods.
    • This is a self-guided 0.3-mile adventure that can be done any time the park is open.
    • This Story Hike Trail will be available only from May 18th through May 30th.

    • Diary of a Spider – Story Hike (for wee ones!)
    • Make your own diary as you follow the story of Spider and his friend Fly through Diary of a Spider along a 0.3-mile trail.
    • This program will be geared toward 3-to 5-year-olds and meant for parents to do with their children.

  • Day Trippers
    • This program was designed for teens and young adults to get out and explore N.C.
    • This month’s destination is the Cinebowl and Grille in Cary.
    • Lunch will be served during the movie.
    • Cost: $26/residents; $52/non-residents (includes admission to movie and transportation)
    • Participants should bring money for lunch.

  • History of Pinehurst Tour

    • Experience the Home of American Golf on a guided windshield tour with Kirk Tours and learn about Mr. Tufts and some of Pinehurst’s celebrity patrons.
    • Cost: $20/person.
    • Tours last aproximately 75 minutes.
    • Departs from Pinehurst Historic Theatre at 11 a.m., 2 and 4 p.m., 90 Cherokee Road. 910 295-2257
  • Culinary Tours of the Pines

    • Culinary Tours of the Pines provides walking culinary tasting tours in the Village of Pinehurst.
    • Included in the tour will be stops at The Deuce, the new signature restaurant that overlooks Pinehurst Course No. 2; The Holly Tavern; The 1895 Room; and The Carolina Hotel.
    • At each location guests will be served a specialty small plate accompanied by a craft beer sampling.
    • In addition, your culinary experience will be enhanced with a stop at The Village Wine Shop, a boutique wine shop located in The Village.
    • The afternoon will end with a sampling of locally baked scones from PineScones, a well-known local gourmet bakery.

    • Pinehurst Parks & Rec has partnered with the Abilities Tennis Association of North Carolina to provide free tennis clinics to athletes with intellectual disabilities.
    • These clinics are for all levels of play.
    • Participants must pre-register with the Pinehurst Parks & Rec.
    • Parents/caregivers are asked to stay for participants under 18.

  • 2017 Spring Spree in Aberdeen

    • The 6th annual Spring Spree Festival will again be held in our Historic Downtown.
    • The festival is open and free to the public for a fun and enjoyable afternoon with family-friendly entertainment, food, music, arts & crafts.

  • Wine Walk & Food Festival

    • Stroll, Sip, Sample, and Shop!
    • What could be better than to celebrate the weekend with a progressive tasting event set among the beautiful, unique shops, restaurants and businesses that comprise the historic Village of Pinehurst.
    • For an entry fee of $35 (plus tax) participants will receive a listing of food samples and a shop guide along with a wine glass.
    • Select your preferred “start” time of either 4pm or 6pm and stroll, sample and shop until your heart is content.
    • There are tasty samples from our local chefs and many of the merchants that are open late will sample wine for your enjoyment!
    • Musicians will be playing throughout the town to make it a lovely evening to enjoy the Village.
