    • Held on a Saturday for the first time, the 69th Annual Home & Garden Tour features elegant homes enhanced by creative flower arrangements and the area’s most beautiful gardens.
    • This year the tour includes events at The Weymouth Gardens and the Sandhills CC Botanical Gardens.
    • The day’s journey includes Southern Pines, Pinehurst and horse country for a true taste of the Sandhills.

  • Healthy Kids Running Series

    • The Healthy Kids Running Series is a five week running program for kids from Pre-K ages 2-14
    • Each Race Series takes place once a week and offers age appropriate running events including the 50 yard dash, the 75 yard dash, the 1/4 mile, the 1/2 mile and the one mile run.
    • Kids compete each week of the Series for a chance to earn points and at the end of the Series the top 3 boys and top 3 girls with the most points in their respective age division receive a trophy.
    • It doesn’t matter how fast or slow you run because all participants receive a medal and gift bag for their achievements courtesy of our sponsors!

  • MIRA USA: Meet & Interact with Guide Dogs for Blind Children and Trainers

    • The public is invited to meet the guide dogs and trainers on the Pinehurst Village Green.
    • This activity is associated with the prospective placement of guide dogs with children from locations across the United States.
    • Candidates to be paired with guide dogs are visually impaired and are aged 11 to 16 years.
    • Based in Pinehurst, North Carolina, MIRA USA is a national non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing independence and quality of life for blind children. As the first organization in the United States that provides guide dogs for eligible children between the ages of 11 and 16, we provide intensive training for the child with the dog, and a wide array of related support services for these youngsters and their families. We provide these services free of charge. In addition, we provide targeted educational outreach to promote public awareness.
    • 10 am to 2 pm at the Pinehurst Village Green, 395 Magnolia Rd., Pinehurst.
  • Spring Matinee Races

    • The Pinehurst Parks and Recreation Department and the Pinehurst Driving and Training Club invite everyone to the 68th Annual Spring Matinee Races
    • Admission is $5 per person (age 12 and under are free), and Gates open at 11:00 AM for parking.
    • Opening ceremonies are scheduled for 1:00 PM, and the first of eight races is scheduled for 1:30 PM.
    • Bleacher seating will be available for general admission. Food and beverages will be available, and picnic baskets are welcome.
