    • Experience the Home of American Golf on a guided windshield tour with Kirk Tours and learn about Mr. Tufts and some of Pinehurst’s celebrity patrons.

  • Annual Spring Open House

    • South Street is hosting their annual Spring Open House this Friday and Saturday.
    • Shoppers can enjoy Appetizers, spirits, free demonstrations and Specials both days!
    • CHECK-IN TO WIN at South Street Two lucky shoppers will win a South Street Gift Basket valued at over $100. Customers can either submit an entry form at the store, or do a Public Check-In on Facebook at the store the day of the event.

  • MLB Pitch, Hit, and Run

    • The Aberdeen Parks and Recreation Department, along with the Southern Pines and Pinehurst Parks and Recreation Departments, is sponsoring the 2016 local qualifying Major League Pitch, Hit and Run competition to be held on Saturday, April 1st.
    • This event is for children ages 7 – 14.
    • The event will take place at Memorial Park Field C in Southern Pines.
    • This is a FREE event and winners will qualify to compete at the regional, state, and possibly national level in Atlanta at the Braves stadium.
    • A copy of your child’s birth certificate is required on the day of competition.
    • NO metal spikes are allowed during any portion of the competition.
    • 10 am at Memorial Park Field C, 210 Memorial Park Ct., Southern Pines.
  • Sandhills Woman’s Exchange

    • The main annual fundraising event of the Sandhills Habitat for Humanity affiliate.

  • Sandhills CROP HUNGER WALK

    • Neighbors walking together to raise funds and awareness to end hunger in our community and around the world.
    • Together with different ages, faiths, and backgrounds we raise money to end hunger one step at a time.
    • Your participation impacts individuals and families locally at the Coalition for Human Care, Food Bank of Central and Eastern N.C., in disaster areas in the U.S. and in more than 30 countries.
    • We walk to be in solidarity with their struggles.
    • 1 pm at Brownson Memorial Presbyterian Church, Ashe Street Parking lot, Southern Pines.
  • Build a Beaver

    • Join a ranger to learn about the special adaptations of North America’s largest rodent and resident of Weymouth Woods.
    • A volunteer will be equipped with improvised adaptations to prepare them for life with the beavers.
    • An optional 1.5-mile hike to local beaver habitat will follow the program.

  • Explorations Series for Adults

    • The Explorations Series for Adults presents Protect Yourself from Identity Theft and Scams
    • John Basin, Deputy Director of the Victims and Citizens Section of the NC Department of Justice will help attendees learn about the tactics thieves use to steal money, including schemes online, at home, and by phone.
    • 3 – 4 pm at Southern Pines Public Library, 170 W Connecticut Ave., Southern Pines. 910 692-8235
  • Healthy Kids Running Series

    • The Healthy Kids Running Series is a five week running program for kids from Pre-K ages 2-14
    • Each Race Series takes place once a week and offers age appropriate running events including the 50 yard dash, the 75 yard dash, the 1/4 mile, the 1/2 mile and the one mile run.
    • Kids compete each week of the Series for a chance to earn points and at the end of the Series the top 3 boys and top 3 girls with the most points in their respective age division receive a trophy.
    • It doesn’t matter how fast or slow you run because all participants receive a medal and gift bag for their achievements courtesy of our sponsors!
