  • Spectacular Spiders (For Wee-Ones!)

    • It’s NC State Parks’ “Year of the Spider!” So come learn about these awesome 8-legged critters as we read a book, play some games, and make a craft.
    • All activities will be geared towards 3 to 5-year-olds and meant for parents to do with their children.

  • Culinary Tours of the Pines

    • Culinary Tours of the Pines provides walking culinary tasting tours in the Village of Pinehurst.
    • Included in the tour will be stops at The Deuce, the new signature restaurant that overlooks Pinehurst Course No. 2; The Holly Tavern; The 1895 Room; and The Carolina Hotel.
    • At each location guests will be served a specialty small plate accompanied by a craft beer sampling.
    • In addition, your culinary experience will be enhanced with a stop at The Village Wine Shop, a boutique wine shop located in The Village.
    • The afternoon will end with a sampling of locally baked scones from PineScones, a well-known local gourmet bakery.

  • Live After 5

    • The Entertainers Band specialize in fun. While staying true to their r&b beach music roots, the group also satisfies the most diverse audiences by playing selections from the latest top-40, classic rock and roll and country music.
    • Food, beer, wine, water and sodas available for purchase. Picnic baskets allowed, but no outside alcoholic beverages permitted.

    • This Friday, October 13, we will be showing “Storks” for our Fall Series of Movie in the Pines!

    • For fans of fantasy fiction, the East South Street merchants have banded together to create a shopping experience inspired by the world of Harry Potter. Costumed characters and unique store offerings will greet you while you are transported to the Houses of Hogwarts.
    • Kids are welcome to dress up in Halloween costumes – or Harry Potter-inspired costumes if they really want to get into it – for the ‘Fall For Aberdeen’ celebration.

    • We will have Live Music, Food For Humans, A 50/50 Raffle, A Silent Auction and no telling who or what else you may find here so come on down and stay with us a while.
    • We have also added a Bike Show – $10 Entry Fee Per Bike – Come show us what you got and win yourself some bragging rights. Trophies to be awarded to the Top 3 Bikes. Good luck and we hope to see you there.

    • Join the Greenway Wildlife Habitat Committee for a Pollinator Garden Adventure on October 14 at 2:00 p.m. at the Pollinator/Butterfly Garden
    • This event is co-sponsored by the Weymouth Woods Nature Preserve and FirstHealth Fitness Center.
    • Meet Weymouth Woods Ranger, Nancy Williamson, and learn about the garden. Participate with her in a hands-on, family-friendly activity.
    • Visit the beautiful garden along the walking trail and participate in a scavenger hunt.
    • Learn about Mason Bees, the decline of honeybees, why we need pollinators, and what we can do to help.
    • Take home a native pollinator plant for your own yard! Make a fancy stake for your plant.
