Friday, May 13

  • Carriage Classic in the Pines

    • Presented by the Moore County Driving Club to showcase the sport of Carriage Driving.
    • 19th Century Carriages, ranging from tiny pony carts to extravagant coaches, complete in all phases of classical driving competition.
    • 8 am – 5 pm at Pinehurst Haarness Track, 200 Beulah Hill Road S., Pinehurst. 910 690-8658
  • Wonderful Woodpeckers (For Wee-Ones!)

    • We have 8 different kinds of woodpeckers that live in our area!
    • Learn about how awesome they are as we read a book, do some fun activities, and make a craft.
    • If the weather is nice, we’ll make sure we get outside and look for some woodpeckers, too!
    • Activities geared towards parents and their children 3-5 years old.

  • Live After 5!

    • “80’s Party in the Park”
    • Come celebrate the most awesome decade yet with live entertainment provided by Hipshack
    • Grab your acid-wash jeans, funky leg warmers, and muscle shirts for the 80’s costume contest!
    • Food trucks and beverages available for purchase.
    • Picnic baskets are allowed, however outside alcohol is not.
    • Event is free for the entire family.

  • Family Skate Night

    • Rollerblades/skates.
    • All levels of skaters are welcome.
    • Please bring your own skates, helmets are required, no hockey sticks.
    • Skating contest and games throughout the night.

  • Cooking Class

    • “Mongolian Meal”
    • Join professional chef Sonia Middleton as she brings a little international culture to cooking.

Saturday, May 14

  • Bird Walk

    • Join us for a 2-mile bird walk to celebrate two great birding events: International Migratory Bird Day and the Global Big Day.
    • Both events draw people from all over the world outside to go birdwatching, so make sure you’re part of the crowd!
    • All levels of birders are welcome, and please bring binoculars and field guides if you have then.

    • Green Fields Sandhills, Sandhills Farm to Table, and NC Cooperative Extention invite you on a farm tour.
    • Each farm will feature a delectable taste of the season, created by Sandhills chefs.

    • Farmers Market starting in downtown Aberdeen
    • Free Booths for Vendors

  • Spring Wine Walk & Food Festival

    • For an entry fee of $35 (plus tax) participants will receive a listing of food samples and a shop guide along with a wine glass.
    • Select your preferred “start” time of either 4pm or 6pm and stroll, sample and shop until your heart is content.
    • There are tasty samples from our local chefs and many of the merchants that are open late will sample wine for your enjoyment!
    • Musicians will be playing throughout the town to make it a lovely evening to enjoy the Village.

Sunday, May 15

    • Wildflower Walk
    • See what wildflowers are blooming this time of year on a 1.5 mile observational hike.
    • Please be prepared with sunscreen, water, and bug-spray.
