As is normal – the real estate market for the Pinehurst/Moore County area of NC slowed in October over September of this year.
As you can see by the chart, the real estate sales for the Pinehurst area of NC slipped in October over September. It also saw a decline in overall unit sales and average prices for the same period in 2010.
New listings also increased giving us an even higher inventory. The bright spot if for buyers in that there are plenty of houses from which to choose as well as very low interest rates for mortgages. In most cases, it is much less expensive to pay a mortgage payment in the Pinehurst area than it is to rent a similar property.
Another bright spot for our market is that we have very few foreclosures and short sales. A home will sell if it is priced properly for the neighborhood, age and size of the house as is true for most markets.
