Friday April 29th

  • PreSchool Storytime

    • Author Kathy McGougan and her Jack Russel Terrier, Buddy, will share a few of their amusing adventures together and McGougan will read from her Buddy series.

  • Movie in the Pines

    • The Peanuts Movie
    • Concessions will be available on site.
    • Come early for good seating and pre-movie games.

  • Art Sale
    • The Open House and Spring Studio Sale at Linda Dalton Pottery includes a silent auction for a peice of pottery.
    • All proceeds to benefit Habitat for Humanity of the NC Sandhills.

Saturday April 30th

  • 2016 Pinehurst Concours d’Elegance

    • Blending the history, heritage and grandeur from three of North Carolina’s proudest traditions – motorsports, golf and military – The Pinehurst Concours d’Elegance is a unique celebration of America’s passion for the automobile and honor for the brave men and women who protect and provide the very freedom we enjoy.
    • The day will be started off with the Fairway 5K presented by First Health Fitness (details below.)
    • There will be 12 showcases of some the world’s rarest cars and motorcycles.
    • Enjoy craft beers and southern barbeque while browsing the rare vehicles.
    • At Noon there will be a precision Sky-Diving exhibit by the Golden Knights and Black Daggers from Fort Bragg and the USO Show Troupe and 82nd Airborne All-American Chorus will also be preforming.
    • The awards ceremony will begin at 2pm, with the 2016 Best in Show award expected to be presented around 4pm.
    • At approximately 5pm the Commodores, will take the stage to close out the show.
    • Today is the last day to purchase online general admission tickets for $40.
    • Day of Event, tickets can be bought at the gate for $50
  • Fairway 5K

    • The inaugural Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina Fairway 5K is presented by First Health Firness to help kick off the fourth annual Pinehurst Concours d’Elegance
    • Runners may still pre-register here or here or sign up the day of the race.
    • All runners who finish the race will recieve a ticket to the Pinehurst Concours and Concert
    • 7:45 am at Pinehurst Resort Golf Course No. 1
  • Art Sale

    • Shaw House will be presenting historical photographs of Southern Pines and selling recreations and other items related to the history of Southern Pines and Moore County from 11 am.

  • Meet the Artist at Work

    • Visit with artist Diane Kraudelt and learn about her techniques and background in art.

    • “Elektra” – Richard Strauss, the story of a woman’s primal quest for vengence.

  • Benefit Bazaar

    • “Treasures and Trinkets”
    • Presented by The Presbyterian Women
    • Proceeds will benefit their scholarship fund and the Fresh Water Well Project in Ghana.
