Wow! It’s been a long road since the real estate melt down in 2008 for the Pinehurst area of North Carolina. Our volume peaked in the summer of 2007 and pricing peaked in the summer of 2008. Since the stock market crash in the fall of 2008 the Pinehurst area real estate market went into a tail spin, the same as much of the country.
As you can see from the chart above, the slow down lasted 5 to 6 years with the recovery beginning in spring of 2013. The beginning of 2014 saw a true turn around and now 2015 is showing full recovery by volume with home pricing starting to inch up. Not all neighborhoods in Pinehurst or the surrounding areas in Moore County are feeling the full effects of the real estate market recovery, but as inventories of available homes continues to decrease, we will most likely see all neighborhoods enjoying the effects of a healthy real estate market.
Since 2007 – this is probable the best time to sell your house in the Pinehurst Area. And if you are looking to buy, there are still some great opportunities to find the right home for a good price, especially with mortgage rates still at historically low levels.
