This will be the 6th annual art show and sale to raise funds for Penick Village in Southern Pines and is a fun thing to do in the Pinehurst area while benefiting a good cause.
Many people retire to the Pinehurst area and there are many options for the active adult in the various communities including golf, lake and equestrian. Penick Village in Southern Pines is a retirement community for those who may need continuing care for themselves or their spouse. It is located in a scenic area with beautiful grounds and offers maintenance free lifestyle and amenities such as exercise classes, flexible meal services and 24 hour emergency services. Residents also have membership to a local fitness center and area golf courses according to the Penick Village Website.
This weekend will be the 6th annual Art Show and Sale and will benefit the Penick Village Benevolent Assistance Fund. This fund allows for some residents regardless of their net worth to live at the village. In addition to the art show there will be an auction for other items including a golf outing, a day with a master chef, and a raffle for a trip to Colorado among other packages. Friday, Sept 30 from 6:30-9:30 is the preview party with food, drinks and the live auction. For tickets to the preview party call Lari at 910-692-0300.
On Saturday and Sunday, Oct 1-2, is the art show and sale and is open to the public from 11-4 on Saturday and 12-3 on Sunday. The art items will be displayed at the Grand Hall at the Village House in Penick. Lari above can be reached for more information and directions. Regional artists will donate all or most of the proceeds from their work for the Benevolent fund.
