***2012 Spring Barn Dance to be held April 21 at McLendon Hills
Prancing Horse is a therapeutic riding program for children and adults who have challenges to overcome including physical, emotional and mental disabilities. Riding classes are offered to these individuals at both McLendon Hills Equestrian Center and at Muddy Creek Farm in Whispering Pines. Part of the cost of the riding classes is paid by the student and the rest is paid for by fund raising and private donation.
On April 16th from 6 – 10 PM there will be a barn dance at McLendon Hills located just one mile past Seven Lakes of Hwy 211 coming from Pinehurst. Tickets can purchased for $40 at various locations including Sandhills Winery in Seven Lakes and the Country Book shop in Southern Pines or you can call for other locations at 910-246-3202. Included with your ticket will be music by DJ King Curtis, a buffet dinner, wine, beer and sodas.
McLendon Hills is a gated lake and equestrian community just a bit over 10 miles west of Pinehurst. The community offers a 24 stall equestrian center for boarding to residents and the public. Not all residents have horses and just enjoy the larger lots and beautiful terrain at McLendon Hills. There is also an 80 acre lake for lake front living – 6 miles of horse trails with mini-farm properties for keeping your horse at home – and 1 acre interior lots for those that want a bit more space than is offered by most other communities in the Pinehurst area.
Please come out and support the Prancing Horse fundraiser at McLendon Hills just minutes from Pinehurst.
