Skating at The Carolina Hotel

  • We’re transforming The Carolina Hotel’s West Lawn into an expansive 3,000-square-foot skating rink.
  • It will be complete with music, lights and joyous cheer that is sure to put you in the holiday spirit. Whether temperatures call for sweaters or shorts, guests will enjoy a skating experience unlike any other.
  • Skates will be provided.

Festival of Trees

  • The 21st Annual Festival of Trees to benefit Sandhills Children’s Center will take place November 29 to December 3, 2017 at The Carolina Hotel in Pinehurst.
  • Over 200 festively decorated trees, wreaths and other items will be up for bids via online auction.
  • Save the date and visit our website for more details.
  • Proceeds benefit children with disabilities.
  • Admission is by any monetary donation at the door.

Village of Pinehurst Christmas Tree Lighting

  • Help bring downtown Pinehurst alive with the holiday spirit for the annual Christmas Tree Lighting in the Village of Pinehurst.
  • Starting at 5:00pm, enjoy music, holiday cheer, hay rides and-of course- a chance to see Santa.
  • The lighting of the tree scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Admission is free, but food and beverages will be available for purchase.
  • Canned goods and non-perishable items will be collected for the Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina (Sandhills Chapter).

Annual Southern Pines Christmas Parade

  • Enjoy local marching bands, activities, fun and more at the Holiday Parade held in Downtown Southern Pines.
  • As usual, Santa Claus is sure to make an appearance!
  • The Parade will begin at Vermont and proceed down the west side of Broad St to Massachusetts, cross the railroad tracks, and proceed back down the east side of Broad St.
  • The Annual Christmas Parade is sponsored by the Southern Pines Business Association and co-sponsored by the Town of Southern Pines.

Weymouth Center Christmas Open House

  • The Women of Weymouth invite you to begin your holiday season with a walk through the beautiful Boyd mansion decked in all its glory!
  • View the work of local and regional designers, garden clubs and community organizations.
  • This Sandhills tradition reflects an era when the Boyd’s entertained family, friends and the community in their lovely home.
  • All proceeds benefit Weymouth Center for the Arts & Humanities.

  • Presented by Aberdeen Parks and Recreation

Old Fashioned Christmas at Malcom Blue Farm

  • Celebrate Christmas in the spirit of the 1820s with music, decorations, children’s activities and light refreshments.
  • The farmhouse, pack house and museum will be open to visitors.

Murphy Family Christmas Concert

  • In this Sunrise tradition, the Murphys fill the theater with rich talent that will keep you coming back for more.

Moore County Choral Society Holiday Concert

  • The Moore County Choral Society presents its 43rd Holiday concert!
  • Join us as we offer a mix of sacred and secular tunes. As usual, we are joined by Moore Brass, the premier brass ensemble of the Sandhills.
  • Tickets will be available through members as well the Arts Council, Seven Lakes Winery, and Kirk Tours. Tickets may also be purchased at the door. Adults – $15. Children’s rates available.
