Classical Concert Series Starts this Month in the Pinehurst Area

September 19 marks the opening concert for the Classical Concert Series in the Pinehurst Area.

The Arts Council of Moore County is getting ready to present the 30th season of the Classical Concert Series to begin Sept. 19 at the Village Chapel in Pinehurst at 8:00 PM. The first of four concerts will be the Empire Brass Quintet.

The second concert will be on Oct. 24th hosted by the Sunrise Theater in Southern Pines and will present the violinist Caroline Goulding. Again, the performance will begin at 8:00.

On February 27th at 8:00 PM the Arts Council will present pianist Alexander Kobrin. The Sunrise Theater in Southern Pines will be the venue for this concert as well.

And the fourth and final concert of the year will be on March 26th presenting The Modigliani String Quartet. This will also be held at the Sunrise Theater in Southern Pines just 5 minutes from Pinehurst. Doors will open at 7:30 as with all concerts and the concert will begin at 8:00.

Tickets for the series are $80 for Arts Council members and $90 for non-members. There is also a dinner special being offered by the Jefferson Inn in downtown Southern Pines before all concerts. The dinner is $38 per person. Tickets for the concerts and the dinners are available through the Arts Council by calling 910-692-2787.

This year the Classical Concert Series in the Pinehurst area promises to be another well received and appreciated musical series!
