Real estate in the Pinehurst area of North Carolina saw great improvements in 2014 over the last several years. Several months even reached levels close to what we saw in the peak of the market in 2007.
Additionally, December saw an increase in 2014 from December of 2013 of 30% for total residential real estate sales in Pinehurst and all of Moore County. There was a 10% increase overall in residential real estate sales for the year in 2014 from total sales in 2013.
Of course, some neighborhoods fared better than others and the luxury market is still struggling to recover. Most of the improvement in over all real estate sales was in the number of homes sold. As inventories are declining, we expect to see prices start to rise. We are way past the bottom in the real estate market in the Pinehurst area, so if you are buying or selling, now is an excellent time to enter the market.
