  • Third U.S. Amateur Four-Ball Amateur Championship

  • Four-Ball is a popular format of play where two players form a team or “side”. Each player will play his own ball and the best score on each hole between the two players is the score that counts for the team.
  • The field will consist of 256 players or 128 sides. Each will play 18 holes on No. 2 & No. 8. The top 32 sides will advance to match play.
  • Spectating is free and open to the public, there will be no spectator carts allowed. Those with proof of disability will be able to rent scooters.

    • Come find out what it’s like to be a spider as you discover the pages of the children’s book Diary of a Spider along the Bower’s Bog Trail at Weymouth Woods.
    • This is a self-guided 0.3-mile adventure that can be done any time the park is open.
    • This Story Hike Trail will be available only from May 18th through May 30th.

  • History of Pinehurst Tour

    • Experience the Home of American Golf on a guided windshield tour with Kirk Tours and learn about Mr. Tufts and some of Pinehurst’s celebrity patrons.
    • Cost: $20/person.
    • Tours last aproximately 75 minutes.
    • Departs from Pinehurst Historic Theatre at 11 a.m., 2 and 4 p.m., 90 Cherokee Road. 910 295-2257

    I remember the day I took this photo of the Pinehurst No. 6 golf course. It was a beautiful fall day with warm weather and cool shadows making for a lovely scene. Imagine living along this course and enjoying these views every day!

    Pinehurst No. 6 is a community in Pinehurst surrounding this golf course which is not adjacent to the main Pinehurst club house and other courses. Even so, as a Pinehurst Country Club member you would gave access to the main clubhouse and courses No. 1-5 as well as No. 6.
